Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Mark First Ganesh Chaturthi at New Bungalow — Raha Moment Draws Attention

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebration became one of Bollywood’s most discussed festive moments after the family marked the occasion for the first time at their newly renovated bungalow.

The couple was seen with their daughter Raha and Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, as the family stepped out for Ganpati visarjan. Videos from outside the residence quickly circulated online, drawing attention to both the family celebration and the setting: the Krishna Raj bungalow that Alia and Ranbir moved into after its long renovation.

Ranbir was seen carrying the Ganesha idol, while Alia held Raha. Neetu Kapoor also joined the family as they interacted briefly with photographers gathered outside the property.

One detail that stood out was the couple allowing the paparazzi to capture parts of the celebration from outside the bungalow. Alia and Ranbir have often been careful about how much of Raha’s life is exposed to cameras, so the family appearance naturally attracted extra interest.

The outfits also reflected the festive setting. Ranbir wore traditional attire, while Alia, Raha and Neetu were dressed in colourful Indian clothing. Before leaving for immersion, the family posed together and acknowledged the photographers waiting nearby.

Videos from the celebration showed dhol beats and activity inside the bungalow premises, giving fans a rare look at a major festival being celebrated at the family’s new home.

The residence itself has been a subject of public curiosity for years. The bungalow underwent extensive renovation before Alia and Ranbir shifted there around Diwali 2025. That made the 2026 Ganesh Chaturthi celebration the first at the completed home.

The event comes at a busy time for both actors. Ranbir is associated with Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana, in which he plays Lord Ram. Alia and Ranbir are also working together again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, their next major film collaboration after Brahmastra.

Yet the reason the Ganesh Chaturthi clips spread so widely had less to do with film promotions and more to do with the family setting. Fans saw a festival, a new home and a rare public moment featuring Raha all come together in a single appearance.

Celebrity festive appearances are common during Ganesh Chaturthi, but this one carried an additional milestone for the Kapoor-Bhatt family: it was their first celebration of the festival in the home they had spent years preparing.

That personal connection helped turn a routine paparazzi sighting into a much more widely shared Bollywood moment.
