VIBE Reaches ₹11.5 Crore Worldwide in 4 Days — Can It Hold Through the Week?

Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta’s VIBE has moved to an estimated ₹11.5 crore worldwide after four days in theatres, giving the film a modest but closely watched start.

Trade tracking cited in early reports places the film’s India net collection at approximately ₹8.35 crore through Day 4. Monday contributed about ₹90 lakh, a drop from the weekend but an important number because weekday performance often shows whether a release has genuine audience support after its opening rush.

VIBE is directed by Kunal Kemmu, who also stars in the film alongside Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir. The project has attracted additional attention because of Zinta’s return to a prominent screen role and Kemmu’s expanding work behind the camera.

The ₹11.5-crore worldwide number should be read with some caution. Early box-office figures are estimates compiled from theatre tracking and industry sources; final producer or distributor numbers can differ. Net India collections and worldwide gross collections are also different measures, so they should not be compared directly as though they represent the same pool of revenue.

What matters now is the trend.

A film that opens at a moderate level can still build a profitable run if collections stabilise across weekdays and improve again over the next weekend. The opposite is also true: a strong opening can fade quickly when audience interest is concentrated in the first few days.

VIBE’s first Monday indicates a normal post-weekend slowdown rather than a sudden collapse, but the next several days will reveal whether it can maintain enough occupancy to extend its theatrical run.

For the industry, the film is also another test of how mid-scale Hindi releases perform in a market increasingly split between giant event films and streaming-first viewing habits. Movies without blockbuster opening numbers need word of mouth, controlled costs and steady weekday business to create a successful theatrical story.

At four days, VIBE has not yet produced a final verdict. Its ₹11.5-crore worldwide estimate is better understood as the starting point for the next question: can the film keep audiences coming after the initial curiosity has passed?
