Apple has quietly made one of its most practical subscriptions much more valuable in India. Starting this month, iCloud+ subscribers are getting Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost.
What is changing
Apple said the expanded iCloud+ bundle will roll out in India and more than 100 countries and regions through the end of September. In India, plans start at ₹75 per month for 50GB of storage. Subscribers will continue to get cloud backup and storage features while also gaining access to Apple TV’s streaming catalogue and Apple Arcade’s game library.
Why this is bigger than a normal bundle update
Apple has spent years building separate subscription businesses around storage, video, music, games and fitness. Bundling TV and gaming into iCloud+ changes the value calculation because cloud storage is already one of the hardest Apple services for users to avoid once their photo and device backups grow.
What happens to Apple One?
The Indian Express reported that Apple One will no longer be available to new subscribers in India as the expanded iCloud+ plan rolls out. Existing users may therefore see Apple’s subscription structure shift around them, while new customers will have a different entry point into Apple’s services ecosystem.
Why Apple may be doing this
Bundling can lower churn. A user who starts with storage may stay because of a show on Apple TV or a game in Apple Arcade. The more services tied to one recurring bill, the harder it becomes to leave the ecosystem entirely.
Who benefits most
Families may see the biggest gain because iCloud+ can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing. For homes already paying separately for entertainment or games, the new bundle could reduce the need for additional subscriptions.
Bottom line
This is not just Apple adding two perks. It is a redesign of how the company sells its services in India — with iCloud+ becoming the centre of the bundle.
